SENSORY PROCESSING AND THE IMPACT ON YOUTH IN CARE

BANGALORE, INDIA
JANUARY 2018

TRAINING:
 SENSORY PROCESSING
 AND
EMOTIONAL REGULATION

Ephesians 4:12-16

We (Johanna and Ruby) are here in India - while Lynn is in Kyrgyzstan. We are all working to help children and youth who have suffered from loss and other traumatic events in their lives.  We also know that each of the youth we care for have needs way beyond our understanding.

Yet, we are committed to sharing what we know - this information delivered through training and consultation.  Over the last few days and in the many days ahead we will be training trainers and practitioners who care for children and youth who were either exploited, abandoned or abused.  One major area of training for the time in India is in the area of Sensory Processing Disorder and Emotional Regulation.

Studies tell us that 16% of the school-age children have Sensory Processing Disorder - that is 1 in 6!  We, who serve children need to know and understand what this means.  How do we learn?  We STUDY, READ, ASK AND FIND THOSE WHO KNOW.

Children are suffering and are waiting for you to help!
